Folks,
I have a Garcia Bronco 22 wireframe rifle, that I've had for many years, and as I've decided to clean all of my guns today, found that I forgot how to assemble the barrel section into the stock section of the gun.
The mechanism that is supposed to retract the pin that locks the barrel from rotating, won't retract to let me rotate the barrel into it's home position. The safety is showing a red dot, indicating it's OFF, but I can't seem to move it back to the SAFETY position. What do I do?

Have you tried pulling the trigger? sometimes that is required on other firearms

Curious as to why on say a Ruger 300 mag rifle, the barrel will say Winchester 300 mag? Does this have to do with patents gunmakers have on barrels?
